For Earth Day some of our amazing team members were interviewed for their work on the California High-Speed Rail Project. Evan Studley provided insight to California Water Act and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans on the San Joaquin River, bordering Fresno and Madera counties. Rachel Clark, Sr. Wildlife Biologist discussed construction monitoring and avian ecology. Great job you two! Soar on!

Congratulations to Soar Environmental biologists Ben Arax, Dani Gutierrez, and Mandy Wegmann for approval as Designated Biologists and General Biological Monitors on Construction Package 2-3 of the California High-Speed Rail! Soar staff put many months into training, site visits, and shadowing construction monitors to gain the experience necessary to meet the stringent standards set by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Our biologists are now approved as Designated Biologists for California tiger salamander, San Joaquin kit fox, and Swainson’s Hawk.

Soar Environmental is pleased to announce the hiring of two additional staff members: Mr. Raj Singh as an Administrative Assistant and Mr. Temo Galvan as an Environmental Intern.
Mr. Singh graduated from Fresno State in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He will be supporting Soar Environmental on the California High Speed Rail Project, and brings to the team experience in contract and account management, as well as marketing and general administration.
Mr. Galvan is currently a student at San Jose State pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, with an emphasis in Renewable Energy. We are excited to welcome both new staff members to our ever-growing team.

Recently, Soar Environmental Consulting was featured in the U.S. Vet Magazine -2018 Winter Edition. The article features success stories for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) teaming with large suppliers. Soar Environmental was chosen by Pacific Gas & Electric as a model of success, noting our dedication to excellent service and our ability to provide solutions for large customers. U.S. Vet Magazine explains the excellent role Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) plays in supporting small businesses and creating opportunities for DVBE corporations. Our great appreciation goes out to U.S. Vet Magazine for highlighting Soar Environmental in the article, and to PG&E for providing efforts and resources which allows companies to create additional business relationships. Soar Environmental is now providing soil sampling and characterization throughout the Central Valley of California!

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Danielle Gutierrez to the Soar Environmental team! Ms. Gutierrez graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology. She has knowledge of a variety of animals including having worked with alligators, lemurs, porcupines, and wallabies! Ms. Gutierrez will be supporting Soar Environmental on the California High Speed Rail project. She is a great addition to this team.
Soar Environmental is happy to announce the hire Ms. Mandy Wegmann! Ms. Wegmann is a wildlife biologist who graduated from Warren Wilson College in North Carolina with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Environmental Studies, and is a member of the Desert Tortoise council. She has extensive experience with Central Valley species, as well as species found in Arizona and North Carolina. We look forward to working with Ms. Wegmann and learning from her experience. Please join us in welcoming her to the Soar Environmental team.

Soar Environmental Consulting is proud to announce that our very own Patrick Sauls has been elected as the Director of Communications for the Central Valley Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) Board! The job will certainly suit him well. He will hold this position for the 2018 year and is sure to excel. AEP is a great way for Environmental Professionals to network, get to know others within the area, and grow personally and professionally. Patrick is dedicated to not only helping his team members here at Soar Environmental but his peers in the career as well. Patrick goes above and beyond to help peers when they need it and helps to contact those who may be of more help when he is unsure of an area. Congratulations Patrick!
